What is zenthai shiatsu?
Founded by Gwyn Williams on the Sunshine Coast, Zenthai Shiatsu addresses the needs of the receiver by drawing on the Traditional Energetic based systems of Zen Shiatsu, Traditional Thai Massage and the remediation techniques of Osteopathy. By the integration of the prime aspects of the modalities and the creation of a safe, awake and caring healing environment, Zenthai has evolved to be widely recognised as an effective structural and energetic form of therapy.
This is movement based therapy with a reputation of effective dealing with issues of the musculo-skeletal , digestive and nervous system.

“Zenthai goes beyond the massage techniques used, the secret lies in the listening of the hands and the ability to tune in to the receiver’s body in order to meet it in the right place. The state of mind is what makes the difference between an average massage and an amazing session where magic can happen.”
“The best healer is the body itself so the role of bodywork is to encourage the body to reconnect with its innate healing power, it’s more about removing obstacles than anything else. Deep pressure and gentle stretches enhance the flow of blood and energy throughout the body, allowing the healing process to naturally take place. Deep relaxation is key since stress is a major factor in most imbalances so the intention of the Zenthai session is to encourage the body and mind let go of old fixated patterns and move towards greater freedom of movement.”
“Throughout my sessions I aim to build a trusting relationship with the receiver’s body through mindful healing touch. It’s a silent conversation which requires focus, patience and sensitivity but once the body trusts and allows itself to open up and let go, we see great results.“
